About Us
My Story
I am Samantha De La Torre AKA Sam, the local owner of Pawsitive Pet Sitting. I am a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Sciences. My passion for pets has been strong ever since I was 4 years old. I got enamored with pet care when I was 16 years old while working my first job at Lakeview Kennels, a family owned boarding facility for dogs. This snowballed into me only wanting to work in the pet care industry for all of my jobs.
I worked at Pet Suites where I got exposed to taking care of cats and doggy daycare. While I was finishing high school and visiting home during summers in college, I worked at Pit Stop For Pets. During my time at this family owned business I learned to professionally bathe dogs. In college I worked at Uptown Hounds, a luxury boarding and daycare resort. During this time I was a Team Lead and learned how to provide professional pet care while still having fun! I even worked the customer service side of this industry with Destination Pet as a Guest Service Specialist where I learned to schedule reservations and bring on new clients!
All of these experiences motivated me take the best parts of everything I have learned since I was 16, in college, and now to create my own business of providing pet care in the comfort of your pets own home! My goal with this business is to make a positive impact on pets lives by providing trustworthy and loving care while their parents are away from home.
I look forward to building a bond with your pets and being there for them when you need it most!

Meet & Greet
Experience exceptional, professional service and set up a complementary 30 minute Meet & Greet consult! During this time I will meet with you and your beloved pets in your home to go over their details and ensure you and your pets comfort!
** OVERNIGHT CARE REQUIRES MEET & GREET 48HRS PRIOR TO NEEDED CARE**
$100/night; +$25/night for any additional dog
Slumber Party- Dogs
Slumber Party for Dogs offers professional in-home pet sitting services, ensuring a comfortable and stress-free experience for your furry companions while you are away. During this time, pets are cared for in the comfort of their own home, per their regular routine for 12 hours beginning in the evening.
$35-$45/visit; +$15/visit for any additional pet
Potty Visits
During this time pets are taken out to potty, played with, water is refreshed, needed food is fed, & needed medications are administered
- Quick Stop-In (20 minutes)
- Quick Stop-In CATS (20 minutes) $20/visit +$5/additional cat
- Short Hangout (30 minutes)
- Chill Time (40 minutes)
$35-$45/walk; +$15/walk for any additional dog
Walks
During this time pets are taken on leisurely walks around the areas surrounding their homes, water is refreshed, needed food is fed, & needed medications are administered
- Bark 'n Stroll(20 minutes)
- Wag 'n Walk(30 minutes)
- Sniff 'n Stride (40 minutes)

Emergency Overnight Care
Emergency Care - $450
When disaster or an emergency strikes, it can be impossible to find immediate, emergency pet care. Trust my team and I to provide urgent, reliable, and expert pet sitting services ANY time of the day/night, ensuring your beloved companions are always in safe hands. $450 covers 12 hours of care. Any further care can be scheduled under regular rate for however many more days are needed.
